Summary: 

The Sourcing Specialist is part of the center-led Procurement Team, achieving competitive advantage through the application of best practices in supply management and driving overall business profitability. The Sourcing Specialist executes strategic or tactical sourcing projects to take advantage of savings opportunities across RES by leading cross-functional teams to achieve optimal total cost of ownership.

This role will be hybrid requiring a minimum 3 days in office.

Requirements:   

  • Works with business/functional stakeholders to establish specifications and operational needs for assigned sourcing projects.
  • Leads the sourcing process by developing sourcing strategy for assigned components in the indirect spend area, issuing RFPs / RfQ’s, performing complex bid and supplier evaluations, conducting negotiations, recommending suppliers, and putting contracts in place for strategic purchases.
  • Performs quick market analyses, benchmark analyses, and spend analyses if necessary.
  • Works with business / functional stakeholders to execute the sourcing process.
  • Establishes savings tracking methodology, performs savings tracking, and reports realized savings on a continual basis .
  • Monitors supplier performance and manages supplier relationships for key suppliers.
  • Supports defining supplier qualification and evaluation criteria to establish and evolve the supplier evaluation matrix.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
  • Drives use of procurement best practices and standardization of procurement processes while minimizing supply risk.
  • Engages in continuous improvement opportunities and evaluates and implements ways to better the Procurement Team proactively.
  • Facilitates change management with colleagues and key contacts throughout the organization.
  • Learns and actively drives the use of the various software platforms used by Procurement.
  • Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

 

Safety:

  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.  Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, or equivalent degree, or 10+ years military/education/relevant work/field experience combination is required.
  • Certification with ISM or CIPS is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing/Procurement, Contract Negotiation, Project Management, Business Analysis, and Change Management is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing/Procurement, Contract Negotiation, Project Management, Business Analysis, and Change Management is preferred.
  • Ability to travel 15-30%.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Required
    • Knowledge and experience in category management, strategic and tactical sourcing, negotiations, and contract management.
    • Demonstrated success in executing sourcing projects to achieve quantifiable savings by applying sourcing methods.
    • Demonstrated success in gathering data, conducting analyses, and generating high quality outputs.
    • Experience managing and maintaining strong supplier performance and relationships.
    • Self-motivated.
    • Ability to interface at all levels of the organization and with suppliers to solve problems while facing evolving demands.
    • Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft suite.
  • Highly desirable
    • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills.
    • Knowledge of renewable construction industry and associated field concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Project management experience.
    • Knowledge of Lean methodology.
  • Functional competencies include accountability, building strategic partnerships, business acumen, collaboration, and excellence.

 

Anticipated base salary range:  $84,000 - $104,000

 

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
